Missy

It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the passing on of our beloved kitty - Missy! Missy passed away yesterday afternoon after falling ill suddenly. She started acting funny on Sunday. We rushed her to the emergency vet clinic Sunday night. She had a low temp (indication of being anemic) and they started her on electolites and fluids. She was transported to our regular vet in the AM and then onto a specialty facility. It was there that she passed on. A mass was found on her splein and she had suffered from internal bleeding. We brought her home and buried her in our garden amongst the trees and flowers. She will be greatly missed and we ask for your prayers during this time of loss!!

Oh, but to live at the beach!! What a life it would be. Here are our bathing beuties enjoying their time at the beach.

Heidi - Making her daybue as a street performer!!! I had to dance with the 6' puppet named Mr. Sparks. We were dancing to "Ladies Night"!!!

Having a blast bowling!!! We made the most of the cool days. Mike's best game was a 145 & Heidi's a 125. The girls started out as gutter queens, but improved with every game!! BTW - This place has some good food too!!!

The birthday boy enjoying his cake!!!

Looking for seashells on the beach and finding a STARFISH!!

SPRING BREAK VACATION!!!

The girls had Spring Break so we all got to be off.. YEAH!!! We rented a condo on Fort Myers Beach for the week and had a great time!! A couple days were a little cool, but we managed to find plenty to do. The girls and I walked the beach every morning scouring the shore line for seashells. We managed to find some real treasures and even a couple starfish. Of course, any starfish they found that were still alive they threw back in hopes that they would make it back to the open sea. We went bowling a couple times at the Beach Bowl - a really old bowling alley. It was like stepping back in time! We also spent a couple evenings in Time Square walking around, trying out the local ice cream shops and watching the street entertainers. I got "volunteered" to help with one of the skits. Mike & the girls thought it was funny!! We also celbrated Mike's 42nd birthday. We all managed to get a really nice tan although the girls are already peeling since they don't like to put on aloe and after tan lotion. Hope everyone else had a great spring break too. Enjoy the pictures!!

A Western Visitor

My brother was in town from New Mexico and we all met at our favorite BBQ joint - Sonny's BBQ for an awesome meal and visit. It was great to see him and catch up on everything going on in his life. Of course the girls were so thrilled to see their Uncle Mike and wanted to hear all the latest news about Hailey. Mike managed to get his fill of BBQ for awhile by polishing off serveral reorders on the AYCE ribs lol!! (Picture to follow soon)

A Special Day

Last Sunday the girls and I spent the afternoon at Lisa Spearmans house. The girls and Sara played cards while Lisa and I visited. She is currently taking treatment for breast cancer and today was the first day she felt halfway good. We ended up making a few cards which was so great!! Lori Pesarus stopped by and Bill took this picture of the 3 of us. Lisa is journaling and scrapbooking this whole journey she and her family are on. Her strength and faith in God is amazing. We continue to lift her up in prayer daily, knowing that God is in control and will bring her through this. Please include her in your prayers as well. Thank you.
