Book of US!!

Well as many of you know, I am a big fan and promoter of a class I took a few years ago called "Book Of Me". My dear friend Lisa Lombardo taught that class and it was so aweseome. I still do a layout now and then to add to my album. Funny thing, she also had taught a Book of US, but I missed out on that one. Needless to say, she began a new Book of US class at Strawberry's Fields (a very cute LSS) in April for which I did my usual promoting, but I did not sign up for as April-May tends to be a bit hectic in my world. Since then, I HAVE CAVED and taken quite a few people with me (Francesca, Jodi - I mean you LOL!!!). I played catch up for April & May and attended my first class in June! It was so much fun. The "Book of Us" is an album about your relationship with another person. It can be your husband (I am doing this one), boyfriend, mom, sister, friend etc.....We meet for class once a month and do a 2 page layout. Each month we get "homework" to prepare us for the next month. We also got a steno book at the April class that we had to alter and this book became where we record all our homework and notes for the different layouts. In June the class whole voted on who they thought had the coolest altered steno books and guess who won!!! ME!! I was so excited. So I am so loving this class and in the end I will have a whole album about Mike & I - How we met, out common goals and so on and so on!! Don't you just love the cover page. To see more you will just have to take the class. You can jump in at anytime(my mom just signed up) and they can always kit the class for you too, so be sure to contact Pam at the store for more details.

Father's Day

The girls and I took a cute paper bag album class at A/C Moore with a Father's Day theme. Between the 3 of us we made to albums - one for my dad and one for Michael. They turned out so cute and both dad's loved them. We wrote heart felt messages inside as well as including some very cute pictures!!

End Of School

Well, it is official... I am now the mother of 2 sixth graders. They both made "B" Honor Roll. We are very proud of them and so glad summer has arrived. There is alot planned for them this summer. They are going to an overnight camp for 5 days at the end of June, plus they are enrolled in a sewing camp and horse camp later in July.

Big Picture Scrapbooking Class

Occasionally I enroll to take an online class at Big Picture Scrapbooking. It is a great site for online classes. The one I am taking right now is Bakers Dozen. We are doing 13 layouts. The teachers layouts are mostly 8.5x11 size, so I am altering mine to work as 12x12 double pages. So far it has been really fun. Here are the first 4 layouts I have done. Be sure and visit the site and enroll in one yourself. You will love it!!!

The Newest Peachette

So you may have read that I am taking up bowling. I am soon to become a "Peachette". This being the league name for my YaYa bowling team. I CANNOT wait!! I have been practicing pretty regularly with Brandi & Samantha and have been getting into the low hundreds! I am even managing to bowl some strikes and spares. After brushing up on the rules of scoring I have discovered that it pays to get alot of strikes / spares in a row as it really helps to bump your score. Needless to say, when ask what I wanted for Mothers Day, I said bowling shoes. Oh and not just any bowling shoes, I had a very specific pair in mind. No surprise - I got them. WoooHooo. SOooooo... What do you think! Be sure and check out the great bowling form too!!!

Mom & I On Mother's Day

So I am a bit late in posting this, but here are mom & I on Mother's Day. We spent the afternoon together getting her scrapbooking stuff organized for her summer in N.C. She has many projects to keep her busy. I also gave her the Mother's Day album I made for her and she Loved It!!!
