"Just Scrappin" with friends!

Went scrappin at a new store - Just Scrappin. It is in Pt. Charlotte, right off 41. I so needed some scrap time with friends. Had a blast with Lisa, Marty and Michelle. Hope to do it again soon!!

BEACH TIME - A FAVORITE OF MINE

We drove down to Ft. Myers beach to eat at one of my favorite restaurants - The Cottage aka The Gulfshore. They have THE BEST wings.

We sat outside (the only place to sit) and enjoyed the beach view.

Afterwards, we walked the pier while eating ice cream. A trip to the beach is not complete without ice cream from Kilwins.

MINITURE HORSES

So a buddy of mine has a farm where he raises miniature horses. Two of them recently gave birth and another one is due in a few weeks, so I took the girls whom we all know are total horse lovers out to visit the babies along with the rest of his menagerie. The babies are only about 14lbs when they are born and were about a month old when we saw them. They are just too cute. One is named Daisy and the other one Dirty Snowball (Can you guess which on he is)!

Anyway, the girls loved every minute of it! The barn is also home to 12 cats, regular size horses and a family of white ducks plus 3 dogs!!

Samantha with Muddy Snowball!! He gave her a run for her money, before she caught him!!

THE PROUD PARENTS WITH THE GRADUATES

7TH Grade... Here they come. Oh boy. Are we ready for this....let me rephrase, is Mike ready for this?!?!?

ANOTHER MILESTONE FOR THE GIRLS

The girls graduated from 6th grade this year. Yes... I did say 6th grade. I can hardly believe it, where has the time gone. They each got a new dress and shoes for this special day, plus some pretty new earrings. Needless to say we are very proud.

The dresses where so pretty and the colors so vibrant!

Good times, celebrating this milestone with their friends!!!

I WORE OUT MY POINT & SHOOT

Everyone knows how much I use my little Nikon point and shoot. It has worked so hard for me over the years and it was getting tired. Taking longer and longer to cycle the image to the sd card. After much research and waiting for the new Nikon models to be released I made my purchase. I am now the proud new owner of a Nikon S620 point in shoot. Can you guess the color I picked??? NOBLE PURPLE!!!

WINGS

I had gotten this cute chipboard bird album in a Scrapolgie kit some time back and had been pondering what to use if for. I finally decided to use it to mark milestones in the girls growing up.... as they begin to spread their "Wings" and fly. It turned out so cute. It starts with them learning to walk and then first day of kindergarten. You get the idea. Not to worry, I have left a few pages blank to allow for pictures of the first cell phone, getting their drivers license, high school graduation etc.

SOCK HOP CROP & ALBUM

I attended a fifties themed "Sock Hop" crop put on by KNK and Scrapbooks Etc. They really out did themselves with the themed decorations. We even got an album kit in the shape of an old 45 record. I worked on my record album at the crop and got it pretty well put together except for pictures. Once home, I decided to use the album to tell the story of the "Voice of Music" record player that my Dad got for his 16th birthday and has since given to me. Dad and I share a love of music and everyone knows that I love to listen to my old vinyl records on the Voice of Music.

The album really came out well and is so unique. I have it on display in my scrap room with my record collection!!

A FRIEND FOR LILY

We adopted a new kitty around New Years. She was just 4 months and a tiny thing compared to Lily, when we got her. We named her Millie. She has a cute tiger stripe going down her face. Lily wasn't so sure of her new sister at first, but they have become fast friends! Millie is quite mischievous and loves to hide things.
